To log debug information coming from the nBox you first need to enable nControl's "Debug log-file".

NOTE: You have to run nControl as administrator

  1. Go to the registry on the PC running nControl.
    • On a 32 bit OS:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\3D perception\CompactDesigner\6\StatusMessageLogger, set LogToFile = 1
    • On 64 bit OS: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\3D perception\CompactDesigner\6\StatusMessageLogger, set LogToFile = 1

A file named "debug_log.txt" will now be created in folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\3D Perception\CompactDesigner

NOTE: Each time you restart nControl, the previous content of the file named "debug_log.txt" will be deleted/overwritten.

Now you need to set the nBox to log.

Go to to File->maintenance->ObjectInspector

Open "+" CVDesigner (Click refresh if you do not see the CVDesigner)

Enable "Display Resource messages"

Click on the Mainboard/Controller card Mac-address and type "messagelevel 1" as debug command. The MAC-address alway ends with "/MWC.0". If you have more then one nBox in your system you will see several of these addresses. Enable only for the nBox you need to log information from.

Depending on how long you run the log, it can be quite large in size.

To log LAN communication to the projectors, you need to go to each projector in the Theatre Explorer and to its properties pane. Under the Communications tab, make sure that "Enable logging" is ticked. This setting is never saved with the CVD file, so if you close nControl you need to enable this feature again.
